| Dear Mychal,
"In a time of uncertainty, we can be certain about two things: we can make each day count and we can make each child count. We can make each day a day in which we treat others with kindness and compassion and respect. We can make each day a day in which we determine by word and deed to provide our own children, and other people's children, the love and support they need. And we can make each day a day in which we work together to truly Leave No Child Behind." - Marian Wright Edelman
Please continue to help us unlock the doors that cannot remain closed to our youth. We really need your support to continue these services. With your tax deductible donations we will be able to continue our efforts in providing youth development programs, youth retreats and on-going services. Your donation will help us move to the next level of organizational growth as we expand our program services and increase our outreach. Our hope is to move into a building of our own and to serve additional communities in various cities, across the US, enabling youth to EMPOWER themselves and enrich their lives. No amount is too small.

"Feed The Homeless" Thanksgiving Day!
| Dear Mychal,
We are doing it again this year. "Feed the Homeless" on Thanksgiving Day is an Annual Community Event. We ask all to come out and join us. The more people that show up will allow us to feed more people on Thanksgiving Day. Be A Blessing to Some one. Bring your co-worker, friends, family, teachers. We have done this for the past six years. We actually take the food to the streets. It has always been a rewarding day for both the Mentors and the Mentee's. This year the Parent Support Group will be joining us. We are asking for you to bring just one plate of food. What we do collectively can make an enormous difference in one person's day. It takes less than two hours to feed many. We will be meeting in front of the PS 175 (134th Street between 7th and Lenox ave.) at 1:30pm on Thanksgiving Day. We will also be giving out Turkeys to our own families in the program, that are in need. We will be hitting the streets in Atlanta, Georgia and Baltimore, Maryland again this year. |

In this edition you will find some great news about Youth Venturers. Unfortunately, I must start with the sad news that many of you might know. VISTA terms last for only a year and Meghan and Dela have finished their year at Youth Venture. You can continue to email them for a short while at their YV email addresses. Meghan's address is mmurray@youthventure.org and Dela is at dawunyo@youthventure.org. On the flip side, our new VISTAs, Gaia Larsen and Sabeen Pirani, have come into our lives to support our work. We are all very excited about having them on board.
