Over the years, Brooklyn has been maligned by outsiders, as being violent & run down. Those of us who live here know better. Brooklyn has a lot to offer. From The Prominade in Downtown Brooklyn, to Coney Island, to the annual Martin Luther King Jr. concerts at Wingate Field & the concerts at The Seaside.
From the BRC, to Weeksville, to Juniors' famous cheese cake, to the beauty of Midwood, to Highland Park, to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, to The Canarsie Pier, to Carroll Gardens, to the West Indian Day Parade, to the Softball Leagues of St. Johns & Kingston Parks & the Cricket & Net Ball leagues in Lincoln Terrace Park, Brooklyn has much to offer.
The Brooklyn experience is one of diversity & within these pages, I'll strive to illustrate the best that Brooklyn has to offer. New York City is New York City, Paris is Paris. But I live in Brooklyn, baby & there's no place like Brooklyn.
